At the Edge of Perception: Sounds of Wings

This installation provides a glimpse of what would be heard if humans could perceive ultrasound. Created specificaly for NTU, the piece contains field recordings of echolocation calls produced by the bats on campus. The creative process included slowing down high-resolution recordings, heterodyne conversion, digital processing, editing and mixing, as well as adding analogue sound effects created in the studio.
