This is a journey through history to Dong Yuan of days gone by, when it was known as Kalah. Based on the concept of a corridor of stories, "Tales of Dong Yuan" features 15 wrought-iron window grills that illustrate stories of Dong Yuan Street and Dong Yuan Elementary School, stretching back more than a century. Documenting the school from its founding to the current day, the work also looks to future prospects for the development of both the school and the neighborhood that will arise with the opening of Kalah Station on the Wanda Metro Line. Childhood memories of students from different generations, local landmarks and snippets of life bring together the recollections and feelings of students, parents, teachers and residents through the years. Whether they arrive on foot, by metro, or by other kinds of public transport, Dong Yuan Elementary School opens its doors to more teachers, students and families, looking forward to adding new stories and further enriching campus life.
