With the transformation of modern cities, the railways we grew up with have disappeared from the surface of the ground. The lyrics employ a narrative of memories with constantly changing images, to stir the memories of the listener. Unlike the old-fashioned slogan-style lyrics of traditional theme songs, the lyrics deliberately avoid mentioning such set phrases as “130th anniversary” or railway station names. Instead, they use a more colloquial style to tell the story of how the scenes in our lives are gradually disappearing.
